Energy efficiency

The rapid pace of technological development opens up new opportunities for significant efficiency gains in both existing and newly built buildings. There are major gains to be made, both in real terms and in terms of potential environmental benefits. The systems that enable efficiency improvements also mean that new functionality can be introduced at very moderate cost.

A hot topic is IMD, Individual Metering and Billing, which creates fairness between residents or businesses with different energy needs and incentivizes them to make their own efficiency efforts. At the same time, as a property owner, you get a precise overview of the property's consumption down to the smallest detail, helping you to identify possible improvements.

The IMD system collects data from each individual apartment or premises, eliminating the need for separate subscriptions for electricity, water and heating - a major source of savings for tenants. Collecting all consumption in one subscription also creates opportunities to make better use of the input power, not least in conjunction with battery storage that allows power peaks to be cut. This means that new electrical functions such as vehicle charging can be introduced without having to opt for a larger main fuse - with the consequent increase in subscription costs.

IMD is a legal requirement in all new construction from July 2021, but it quickly becomes a profitable investment even in older properties. Individual measurement with temperature sensors also enables detailed follow-up and adaptation to individual wishes - an improved service, quite simply.

Controlled consumption

A digital system enables not only detailed measurement, but also control of heating and lighting - not least important in, for example, outdoor environments and common areas, based on presence, time and external temperature. Detailed regulation of both temperatures and lighting can save large sums, while at the same time, of course, security aspects can be taken into account in the design of the systems.

Vehicle charging

The property's IMD system can of course also be integrated with vehicle charging equipment - visitors can pay by card, while tenants are automatically charged and receive their charging bill on the rental invoice. Generous government subsidies are available for the installation of vehicle chargers, which we can help you make the most of.

Solar energy

The basis of energy-efficient building operation is solar energy - a solution that can be applied to all types of buildings. The higher and more volatile the electricity prices, the better it pays off, especially when combined with battery storage that smooths out power peaks and shifts consumption throughout the day. By connecting your property's batteries to the grid, you can also benefit from various support services, where you as a property owner are paid well for helping to balance the country's overall power grid. This could mean, for example, 'lending' the capacity of your batteries when there is a surplus of electricity, to return the power during peak demand. The systems keep the battery's charge level within life-optimized limits, and everything is fully automated. All you have to do is record the income!
