Envac Optibag AB is a technology company in a leading position in terms of environmental focus. With the entire world as its labor market, Envac Optibag has delivered over 25 facilities in the waste management category.

The Optibag concept is a smart waste sorting system where private individuals sort their waste according to their own needs in different colored bags. The bags can then be disposed of in the same bin as they are later separated by color in an optical sorter at a central waste facility. Optibag requires minimal space and reduces waste transportation. The organic waste from the green bag can be turned into biogas for public transport, waste collection vehicles and private vehicles.

Mission

Turnkey contract for a new optical sorting hall for Linköpings Värmeverk regarding building and process installations. Subsystems have been general power, lighting, fire alarm, and process installations including programming of PLC and SCADA systems.

Solution

The contract has involved extensive installations and very complex coordination with all parties involved. There was a requirement that the ongoing operations in the form of district heating production must not be compromised. Provektor has designed, installed, commissioned and built the cabinets and programmed the monitoring and control system. Integration work in the end customer's system has been carried out during ongoing production.

Processel has involved the delivery of switchgear from ABB with drawout groups, frequency-controlled motor groups.

Collection of sensors, instruments and emergency stop management has been done with ASI bus. Other buses are Profibus and Modbus. Delivery and programming of PLC system ABB AC800M and ABB 800XA SCADA system. Delivery has also included a surveillance camera system.
