The Västergötland Museum in Skara offers exhibitions and activities that not only give the visitor a fun experience but are also a source of knowledge. The museum's current main exhibition 'Between Ice and Fire' was opened in January 2011 and depicts the ancient history of Västergötland through a variety of objects left behind by the people of that time. The museum has the honor of displaying the 3,000-year-old and globally unique bronze shields from Fröslunda.

Mission

Provector's challenge was to create a simple, efficient and more environmentally friendly system for the museum to control the lighting. The goal was also to enhance the visitor experience.

Solution

The solution was a control system from Smart House with motion sensors that turn on the lighting in the stands when visitors enter the room. In the so-called shield game where the history of the Fröslundaskölds is told, the solution is used to control several elements. The system simplifies operations, enhances the experience, saves energy and is also cost-effective because it is easy to install, use and complete.
