Our mission:

Electrical installation Security

Töreboda - recurrent

The season on the Göta Canal is underway. We are of course prepared!

Something goes wrong! The bridge in Stång doesn't want to open or the lock in Forsvik is jammed, then Provektor comes in! We are on standby all summer, from May to September. Our preparedness applies from Sjötorp on Lake Vänern to Rödesund in Karlsborg.

Early one morning, Egon takes the entire team involved in the emergency response on a drive along the canal. They go through bridges, locks and buildings. The group starts at seven o'clock and arrives in Forsvik by nine o'clock, where breakfast is served at the lock.

Our mission
Göta Kanalbolaget wants care, service and maintenance of the bridges, locks and properties. The assignments vary from year to year as the canal is constantly updated and renovated. During the season from May to September, we are on standby around the clock.

The Göta Canal extends from Sjötorp on Lake Vänern to Mem on Slätbaken. The canal is 190 km long and has 58 locks. Of the stretch, 87 km is an excavated canal. The Göta Canal is one of the largest construction projects ever undertaken in Sweden. Baltzar von Platen started the construction of the Göta Canal in 1810 and in 1832 the entire Göta Canal was completed. Traveling along the canal is today a major and popular tourist attraction.

Göta Canal a recurring mission!

Provektor has been involved in automating bridges with new control cabinets with PLC controls. Locks have been rebuilt so that they can be remotely controlled by the lock keeper with a remote control. All to get a better overview of the locks.

During the 2017 season, cameras and sound have been replaced with new digital technology at the Rotkilen and Gastorp bridges, which are remotely controlled from the bridge in Töreboda.

Provektor has installed sockets for boat moorings at piers and caravan sites at Sjötorp, Hajstorp, Jonsboda, Rödesund and Vassbacken, etc.

In early summer 2019, electric chargers were installed for the Göta Kanalbolaget's electric boat, which is available for hire. The boat can be charged in Karlsborg, Forsvik and Töreboda.

Curious about Provektor? Get in touch and we'll tell you more!
