Gullspång Arena, a tent construction, a challenge!
Gullspång / Töreboda 2021
Gullspång has long lacked a large communal sports hall for sports such as floorball, futsal, badminton, table tennis and shooting. Now there is a solution, Gullspång Arena will soon be completed, a hall measuring 30x70x7 meters. A café, conference facilities, stands and changing rooms are also included in the new hall.
Provektor design and carry out the electrical installation.
The project started for Provektor in March 2020. A real challenge as the hall is of tent construction. This means that there is a pipe frame that supports the outer and inner fabric and an inner building that connects to the tent structure. We developed a solution according to the Swedish Standard, for everything from general power and lighting to burglar alarms and access systems. Jonas Ericson, our designer in the project, has had to think carefully about, for example, installation methods, ducting and, not least, fire seals. When Jonas and Christoffer were satisfied and ready, it was time to involve the rest of the team.
Christoffer Lundström, Team Leader Provektor, has been responsible for the project together with Magnus Svensson who has been in the arena since day one. Together with 3-5 colleagues, they have ensured that the requirements are met: All lighting in the arena must meet the standards and guidelines required by each sport, plus all lighting, access systems and burglar alarms must be able to be managed by section. Something to bite into for Christoffer, Magnus and the gang!
Now that the arena is almost ready, Gullspång has a full-fledged indoor hall. All associations have with joint power and interest, together with Gullspång's municipality, the Swedish Sports Confederation, and a private donor (Christer Brandberg) ensured that the arena became a reality. Much of the work has been done voluntarily and the activity has been great during Friday evenings and weekends.
