Smart governance
- Energy efficiency
The rapid pace of technological development opens up new opportunities for significant efficiency gains in both existing and newly built buildings. There are major gains to be made, both in real terms and in terms of potential environmental benefits. The systems that enable efficiency improvements also mean that new functionality can be introduced at very moderate cost.
IMD - Individual metering and billing
A hot topic is Individual Metering and Billing (IMD), which creates fairness between residents or businesses with different energy needs and gives them incentives for their own efficiency efforts. At the same time, as a property owner, you get a precise overview of your property's consumption down to the smallest detail, which helps you identify possible improvements.
The IMD system collects data from each individual apartment or premises, eliminating the need for separate subscriptions for electricity, water and heating - a major source of savings for tenants. Collecting all consumption in one subscription also creates opportunities to make better use of the input power, not least in conjunction with battery storage that allows power peaks to be cut. This means that new electrical functions such as vehicle charging can be introduced without having to opt for a larger main fuse - with the consequent increase in subscription costs.
IMD is a legal requirement in all new construction from July 2021, but it quickly becomes a profitable investment even in older properties. Individual measurement with temperature sensors also enables detailed follow-up and adaptation to individual wishes - an improved service, quite simply.
Controlled consumption
A digital system enables not only detailed measurement, but also control of heating and lighting - not least important in, for example, outdoor environments and common areas, based on presence, time and outdoor temperature. Detailed control can save large sums of money, while of course safety aspects can be considered in the design of the systems.
Solar cells
The foundation of energy-efficient building management is solar energy - a solution that can be applied to all types of buildings. The higher and more volatile electricity prices are, the better it pays off, especially when combined with battery storage that smooths out power peaks and shifts consumption across the day.
Save with support services
By connecting your property's batteries to the grid, you can also benefit from various ancillary services, where you as a property owner are paid handsomely to help balance the country's overall power grid. This could mean, for example, 'lending' the capacity of your batteries when there is a surplus of electricity, to send power back during peak demand. The systems keep the battery charge level within lifetime-optimized limits, and everything is done fully automatically. All you have to do is record the income!
Vehicle charging
At Provektor we work with the market-leading suppliers of charging equipment and no matter which brand you prefer, we will help you from start to finish. The process starts with us analyzing your charging needs and proposing a suitable solution. In connection with the installation, we of course ensure that charging can then take place without the risk of overloading your existing power grid.
