The responsibility for the electrical installation lies with the owner or tenant

The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority's regulations and general advice (ELSÄK-FS 2022:3) deal with the owner's responsibility for continuous inspection of high voltage installations and electrical equipment to ensure electrical safety.

The installation operator is the holder. This is either the person who owns the electrical installation or the person who uses it. It can be a natural person or a legal person, such as a company or an association. This applies to industrial buildings, apartment buildings, public facilities and retail premises.

As a site manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the electricity in the site is safe and cannot cause damage to people and property. You are also responsible for ensuring that the installation works well with its surroundings and does not cause disturbances.

Living up to your responsibilities is easy

The agreement is a simple and safe way to fulfil the responsibilities of an electrical installation owner and it includes procedures for status checks, periodic checks and continuous checks to minimize the risks of electrical accidents, electrical fires and operational interruptions.

We start by, together with you, doing a status check with the aim of searching for errors or deficiencies in the property that you own or rent. We then make a customized arrangement based on the conditions and wishes that we have come up with. This is followed by periodic inspections at intervals in accordance with our agreement, when we systematically review the electrical system.

With IN ELKONTROLL, you are still responsible for the electrical system, but you let us, a registered service company, perform the tasks required to ensure that the electrical system is safe. Living up to your responsibilities is easy!
