Safe Node House - smooth security

A node house, also called a technology shed (which in itself explains what it is), acts as a central hub for key technical equipment such as broadband via fiber. In many cases, especially in rural areas, node houses are owned and managed by the members of an economic association or similar, who jointly build and operate the fiber network.
Easy-to-use system that warns
As the equipment in a node house is critical to the functioning of the network, it is important that this house is protected against, for example, burglary, vandalism and fire, and that stable operation can be ensured. Peter has recently completed a comprehensive security upgrade of a node house. The aim was to have a secure and easy-to-use system that warns and prevents intrusion and fire.
We have installed:
- Fire and extinguishing alarm: A modern fire alarm system from MAUS has been installed to quickly detect and warn of high temperature, smoke or fire development.
- Camera surveillance / alarm; (CCTV) A smart alarm system has been installed that immediately sends a notification and image via a mobile app to the person in charge if someone unauthorized enters the node house.
- Access control system: The access control system eliminates the need for key management and makes it easy to get an overview of who is in the node house.
- New locks and fittings: The door has been fitted with new, more secure locks and fittings to prevent physical break-ins.
Security systems for expansion and change
The need to protect and monitor has increased dramatically in recent years, but it is also the case that today's systems and solutions are easy and convenient to install. The advantage is also that systems can be expanded and rebuilt as needs change. Relatively simple solutions provide a high and significantly higher level of security, which safeguards the operation of the network. At the heart of the new monitoring at the node house that Peter just implemented is the digital alarm system that immediately sends a notification via the mobile app if something happens around the house.
